Be prepared for a totally different experience at this seldom visited, gorgeous little jewel perched a few hundred feet above Tesla Lake. Dotted with small islands and crowded with quiet little coves, Olaf Lake is a fly fishing delight. The pure, crystal clear waters abound with hard fighting rainbows ranging up to 3 pounds in size. Whether working any of the standard patterns – Caddis, Black Gnat, Midges, Nymphs etc.- or experimenting with your own secret designs, you are sure to be rewarded with plenty of action.
From the cabin, a couple of minutes by boat takes you to the foot of a well marked trail. From there a 40 minute hike will find you on the shore of this wonderfully secluded natural paradise where we have provided two stable, wide bottomed canoes along with paddles, life jackets, nets etc.
Spend the day fishing and exploring in the tranquil solitude of nature’s sights and sounds. An eagle here, a loon there, perhaps a moose or bear unaware of your presence as you paddle your way along. Bring your camera. A truly rewarding and memorable experience for those few who make the effort.
