To ensure the future of great fishing in our lakes we promote and encourage a catch-and-release philosophy. In the interest of good resource management and sportsmanship we recommend that any fish not intended to be eaten be released unharmed. Single barbless hooks and careful handling during the landing, photographing and releasing process will greatly enhance the chance of survival. Here are a few guidelines.
- Use bare, wet hands when handling fish
- Release fish as quickly as possible
- Be quick and gentle when dislodging hooks
- Fish that are deeply hooked or bleeding profusely should either be kept or released with the hook left in
- Respect the fish and treat them humanely
You must carry your angling license while fishing and produce it for inspection upon request. BC residents under the age of 16 years do not require a license, nor do they need to be accompanied by a license holder. Non-BC residents under the age of 16 years do not require a license but must be accompanied by a license holder.
A copy of the current Freshwater Fishing Regulations will be supplied when you purchase your license and a copy is kept on hand at the lodge.
Firearms of any type are prohibited in the park.
While every precaution is taken to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our guests, due to the remote location and nature of the activities during your stay, you will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to the commencement of your trip.
A safety checklist is provided and is posted in a prominent position at the lodge. Please read it carefully and respect the contents.
When traveling by float plane please be courteous to your fellow passengers and respect the instructions of the pilot. Pepper sprays and other types of animal repellents must be carried externally.
